"Travel is going from oneself to oneself by way of others." - Tuareg proverb
The concept of this internship is very simple:

For one weekend, learn to survive with only your "dick and knife"*!

Mise en situation et répartition des tâches. Rappel de la réglementation en vigueur et si il n'y a pas d'interdiction, nous ferons un petit feu de camp.

*Regarding the title "My little bite and knife"
This is in no way a case of blatant discrimination against women, but simply a reinterpretation of a well-known expression meaning that one can or must make do with what little one has left, namely: one's wits (in "military" terms, "one's courage") and one's knife. Of course, brains, resourcefulness, and solidarity will be central to the discussions, and women are certainly invited, indeed encouraged, to attend this enriching workshop!

Testimonials from the "My Little Bite & Knife" workshop

formation de grande qualité pour ce stage survie dans les bois !

Thank you for this wonderful, very instructive and enriching human experience.
This is an experience that will lead to others!
In any case, I am the pride of my kids!
They told me I could do Koh Lanta...
Thanks again for the autographs!
See you soon!
Thomas

Hello Nadia, Hello Denis, After experiencing the "Bite and Knife" course from April 14-17, 2016, I'm more than convinced that "survival" is my thing; in fact, I'm hooked now. I'm eager to repeat the experience, this time in extreme cold... I'd like to sign up... I would obviously love to have Denis Tribaudeau as my instructor. I find him fascinating and I can't wait to cross paths with him again. Thank you for your commitment and your energy... I'll see you very soon for new adventures. Damn, I can't wait! A big thank you
Matthieu LEU

Thank you for this fantastic experience and unforgettable encounters, all with a little taste of "I'd love to go back again" kisses to you and see you soon I hope.
Cathy

Hello everyone
Thanks to Nadia, Yoan, Denis and the participants
Thanks also to the rain, the chestnuts, the earthworms, the rabbits, the children for their courage, the firefighter, and everyone's good humor! Thanks again and see you soon !
Marie Laure and Christian

Thank you for this wonderful experience in the Périgord. It was a great time, expertly guided by Denis. The advice and tips he gave me will be invaluable on my next hikes in the Pyrenees. The warm welcome and kindness of the entire team will also remain a very fond memory.
JJ. De Pau.

Hello everyone
We had a great time, a very enriching experience with the whole group.
Thanks Aurelien and Denis for the souvenir photos
Thank you to Nadia for Sunday's meal.
Thank you Denis for your friendliness, your professionalism, and everything you taught us in such a short time.
Thanks to my friend for these moments
A great discovery that promises new adventures.
We look at nature differently now
Jerome

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this Mike Horn-style experience that really puts things into perspective, thanks to this disconnection from our usual lives and a reconnection with nature. I learned so much in 36 hours that I'm definitely going to have to sign up for a longer course! The cold was tough; in fact, I think it was the only difficult thing (along with the shelter floor, of course...). The atmosphere was fantastic, with a real sense of mutual support and teamwork. Denis had warned us that we would each naturally find our place in the group. And that was the case very quickly. Thanks to Denis. We hiked, we struggled, we were in pain sometimes, but we always had a good laugh while filling our eyes, noses, mouths, and brains with new information. Hunger wasn't a problem, thirst a little more so, but only mild over two days.
I loved this internship.
The internship supervision – very satisfied… Excellent, from the first minute to the last, I insist. Not a single false note, you clearly master all situations, and that's also why we rely on you completely, without any questions.
The organization of the internship: You know what we need and you provide it. From start to finish. The information is clear, and Sunday's meal is just right. A HUGE THANK YOU to you, Nadia and Denis! I'm going to encourage more people around me to do this! And most importantly, I'm going to find a longer internship for next year.
Benjamin

Hello Nadia, Denis, Maxime,
Thank you for this enriching experience. The return to reality went smoothly; I came back to the office Monday morning more motivated than ever. I learned so much about myself and nature; it was truly a fantastic weekend that reminded me of playing in the woods as a child (albeit a slightly more challenging version ;) )! I'm already looking forward to the next workshop, which I'll probably do with a friend who's already decided to take on this challenge.

The return to the capital was a bit rough, and I quickly missed our campsite in the end...
Best of luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing you again at Nadia and Denis's or elsewhere!!
A big shout-out to Séverine, the only female representative at the bivouac, to our amazing cook, our crazy fisherman and my all-nighter partner around the fire :D (we'll be better equipped next time), thanks to the whole team, I loved it and I'll keep a huge memory of our group!
Denis

I'm finally taking the time to reply to your email; I'm not exactly known for my speed...
Thank you again for this wonderful discovery, which has inspired me to "test" myself again...
It's really amazing to still be looking at the trees a month later, searching for dry ivy, glancing at edible plants or trying to find my way by the sun, because unfortunately, and I often think of Yoann at that moment, I still can't see a sky starry enough to spot the 2 constellations needed to find north (and I've already forgotten the name of the 2nd one, the big bear and ...).
Thank you again, all the best to you and I hope to see you soon!
Marie and Guigui

Hello, I will truly cherish wonderful memories of these three days spent in a magnificent setting where I learned so much about nature, but also a great deal about myself, my adaptability, group cohesion, mutual support, listening, and sharing. Paul's guidance was superb and very professional, as was the warm welcome from Denis and his wife, who shared many unforgettable anecdotes and memories with us. Thank you again.

Morgane

Thank you Denis & Nadia for this exceptional and very enriching internship.
Your internship should be covered by health insurance, it's so incredibly informative!! 😉
Thank you again for your welcome, kindness and teaching skills, you are the best.
Damien

A great team with whom it was a pleasure to share all these moments, except for the nights =)
Seriously guys, I went outside to get some peace and quiet; I didn't think we'd end up ten of us chatting around the fire all night! =) Thanks to you, Nadia and Denis. It was too short for me; I had so many questions and experiences I wanted to have. Who knows, maybe one day I'll have the chance to hunt with the Hanzabés.
Stéphane, frog fisherman =)
JC

After seeing the pictures of the rabbit and frog huts and listening to my weekend story, my 10-year-old daughter absolutely wants to do the camp 🤨. She tells me we were "so lucky"... I think I'll make her wait a little while before signing her up 😄
Laurent

The comedown is really tough; I haven't wanted to return to the real world for two days now... I can't stop thinking about this amazing, supportive team, and you all really helped me reach the end of this unforgettable adventure... Thank you all so much... I'll practice making a fire on bamboo this weekend and hope to participate in another adventure like this next year with Denis and Nadia... Thank you again... I'll never forget you and hope to see you again someday... maybe for another adventure...
Lucas

Great shared memory! I didn't take photos but images on my bike: the shouts of joy when the flame came out of Adrien's hands, the rabbit that awakened our instincts and the shelter that protected us well from the rain.
My return trip by bike to Brive was great, tiring but pushing yourself has its advantages and that's also part of this experience.
Best of luck to you, and if you happen to be passing through Caen and my house is too small, we'll build a cabin together!!
P.S. I arrived at a hostel in Paris very late (3 a.m. because of a train problem) and I can tell you that all of us together snored less than José, my roommate!!
Thanks again to everyone and especially to Nadia and Denis for this welcome and this humanism which reminds us what it means to be men (and women of course: #TITOUNE or the sissy).
