ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival in Marrakech or Ouarzazate (please inquire). Check-in before 8 pm (dinner not included). Overnight stay in a family-run riad in the Marrakech medina.
Day 2:
8 am - Breakfast - Transfer to Southeast Morocco. You will travel through breathtaking scenery worthy of the greatest films! From the snows of Mount Toubkal, crossing a mountain pass at 2,260 m altitude, to the arid high plateaus of the Atlas Mountains, passing through lush oases; a complete change of scenery awaits! Lunch in Ouarzazate is not included. In the late afternoon, arrival in Zagora via the Draa Valley, followed by a 3-hour 4x4 drive through the reg (stony desert) to meet our team of camel drivers/nomads. You will be far from the tourist trail, in authentic settings.
Day 3:
Check of necessary equipment for the immersion (no lighters, no food, no cell phones). Introduction to desert culture and survival skills to help you thrive. Start of the trek. Orientation day. Crossing an arid mountain (rocky desert), using your maps and compasses you'll search for the right spot to spend the night and regain your strength. You'll learn how to set traps and purify collected water. Bivouac under the stars.
Day 4:
Head south towards the dunes! Descend to a dried-up lake with breathtaking scenery. Between natural pyramids and engraved rocks, in a Western-style setting, you'll likely encounter the local inhabitants with 4, 6, or 8 legs! It's up to you to catch them for your meal. Your camel driver will explain the local flora and teach you how to bake bread directly in the hot sand. Bivouac in a makeshift shelter or under the stars. Setting up camp.
Day 5:
The dunes are in sight! Walking among the stones is no easy feat! But it's the price you pay for sleeping in the Sahara! With no sign of civilization in sight, silence and the sun will be your only companions. Animal tracks will naturally lead you to a water source where you can refill your water before setting off again across the sand. Like a long caravan, you'll wind your way along the ridges of fine, golden sand to reach the bivouac area. Everything will be up to you! You'll learn the five basic methods for making fire without a lighter or matches. You'll find your own firewood, build your shelters, ration your water, and eat only what nature provides. At night, the spectacle is guaranteed under one of the most beautiful starry skies in the world.
Day 6:
Under a blazing sun, you'll learn the Tuareg's secrets for enduring the heat. You'll venture even deeper into one of the world's largest deserts. The dunes will be enormous and the spectacle breathtaking. You will drive your camels, search for the best path, and follow the tracks of jerboas, scorpions, and desert fish... In short, you will have become a true caravaneer. In the afternoon, you will find your hosts' semi-permanent camp at the foot of a large dune. Their Tuareg tents will provide you with: MEALS - SHADE - SLEEPING - SURFING (yes, surfing!)! The evening will be pure luxury and indulgence in the heart of the desert.
Day 7:
After breakfast, you will meet a 4x4 vehicle. You will return to "civilization" with a true 2-hour off-road journey worthy of the best rally raids. Arrival in Marrakech or Ouarzazate, where a superb evening of relaxation, a hot shower, and an oriental meal awaits you (lunch and dinner not included).

- Daily survival training sessions.
- One expert survival instructor.

Internship testimonials

In the immeasurable kindness of our courageous young desert knights, of our guides trained for all trials, I surfed the rainbow of my years, braving my fears, sweeping away my doubts.
Was that really me? Am I really the same person today?
This intergenerational and culturally diverse sharing was a true lesson in humanity.
He invites me to join together in an ode to LIFE, to Mother NATURE awaiting our care. I share with you my love for this land that has welcomed us. Thank you again and again to Nadia and Denis, to our guides, and to all the participants.
100% satisfied.
P.S.: Nadia, please mark your review as "very satisfied" on the form, as I can't do it from my phone and I won't have my computer until I return to French Guiana at the end of the month. Unfortunately, I'm not very active on social media, but I'll spread the word.
Simone

I had a great time with you all and I'm very happy with the internship. Thank you all.
Thanks to you, I've made even more progress in survival skills. In fact, the more I learn, the more I realize I'm still just getting started. The diverse backgrounds of the wonderful people in our group brought us closer to a real survival situation, and the conclusion is clear: mutual support, solidarity, and collective intelligence are the keys. Mother Nature was capricious and didn't give us everything we wanted, but again, this brings us closer to a real survival situation. I've grown! Personally, I now know how to move around in very hot environments, I know how to make a fire among date palms and acacia trees, I learned a new trap, I even made myself a mosquito net 💪... in short, all these things make me eager for the next one!
Thank you again.
Jeremy

How pale our little Parisian life seems after spending such wonderful moments with you all! I will never forget the sunsets (and sunrises) with Richard and Jeanne, the trapping and harvesting of dates with Mohamed, and the landscapes...
Karla
The return to civilization is well and truly here! A week has already passed since that fabulous, unusual trek... Time flies by too quickly in our cities. Only Mother Nature has managed to slow down our hectic lives. This experience is etched in my heart and has given me the opportunity to awaken to all that Mother Nature has to offer. This extraordinary journey, à la Mike Horn, was initially an introduction to self-reliance, a discovery of my physical "potential." Much more came of it: new friends, a growing love for unusual travel, the art of packing an ultralight backpack, and the best part: eating what you find (a major revelation!). Now, this survival course is a foundation for continuing to learn about and discover edible flora and fauna 😊 in new adventures... thanks to you.
Michèle
Our return to France went very well, we are very happy to have been able to experience this extraordinary adventure with all of you.
We have only wonderful memories of it, beautiful encounters, and unforgettable moments. We want to thank you all for this amazing adventure.
Farid and Priscilla

I hope everyone got home safely. I'm getting back to work with a bit of a downer, my head full of memories. I think I'm in for several more months. This experience has made me reflect a lot on myself! Besides the survival techniques and the knowledge shared by Yoann and Mouss, it was truly an inner journey I undertook with all those walks in the middle of the pristine, desert landscape. I learned quite a lot, and I thank you for that. This internship will remain a pivotal moment in my life.
Damien

I join the rest of the group in confirming that this weekend was a truly wonderful human experience and a magnificent adventure, despite one of the worst nights of my life. It's definitely easier to have a good time with people who share common values like mutual support, kindness, solidarity, and respect for nature.
Thank you all again.
Sébastien

For my part, I can say I'm completely satisfied with every single question. It's been an extraordinary human adventure. Thank you for organizing this type of internship. Thanks to you and all the other interns, I was able to push myself and surpass my limits. It allowed me to gain confidence and prove to myself that I'm capable of a lot. See you soon for another adventure, and yes, the promise made to Jeremy for Tanzania is definitely coming true. Thank you all for your help and for these incredible moments spent with you.
We'll meet again soon for another training session.
Helen

I'm finally taking the time to give you my feedback on my stay in Morocco.
Simply a huge thank you to both of you for offering this kind of stay!
I had gone there to take care of the little blonde girl "Hélène", without any goal or expectation of the stay, I simply wanted this time to let myself be guided by life / nature 😊
I came back with stars in my eyes, that's putting it mildly, and more human.
I needed to return to the land, to the Slow Life, to the essentials.
I found it without even looking for it. Thank you!
We are being eaten alive by our type of society, which makes us lose our minds, and to resist or be ourselves, we have to be "courageous".
I have re-immersed myself in his fundamental rules of life:
- taking care of yourself and loving yourself (without that you can't be 200% yourself, nor with others),
- to help one's neighbor,
- to be able to eat well without overindulging
- communicate,
- to be humble,
- and above all, the judgment of others can only affect you if you are not whole.
Thank you for creating this company and for leaving a trace of your way of seeing the world within us.
Melissa
