Since nature is our daily environment and our tool of the trade, we are the first to want to protect and preserve it. During our sessions, we will be vigilant in ensuring that our trainees also safeguard nature. We will regularly review the rules and regulations to explain, inform, and educate them on the importance of respecting these rules.

*Regarding the title "dick and knife"

This is in no way a case of blatant discrimination against women, but simply a reinterpretation of a well-known expression meaning that one can or must make do with what little one has left, namely: one's wits (in "military" terms, "one's courage") and one's knife. Of course, brains, resourcefulness, and solidarity will be central to the discussions, and women are certainly invited, indeed encouraged, to attend this enriching workshop!

Testimonials from the "Bite and Knife" workshop

B&C survival course, August 3-6, 2023

Hello everyone,

Yes, the return to civilization went well, with a certain euphoria and ecstasy at the rediscovered conveniences and comforts of daily life. I hadn't imagined that this experience would have such a palpable psychological and sensory impact. I can distinguish more smells in my environment, and food tastes better…it will last as long as it lasts, and when the sensations have worn off, it will be time to do another internship, perhaps a "big bite" one?

Thank you all for your kindness, mutual support, smiles, serenity, humor, anecdotes, and cigarettes.

Thank you to Nadia and Denis for your warm welcome, kindness, knowledge sharing, and humor (Denis, any time for a Mike Horn impression?). I am completely satisfied with everything.

Don't hesitate to get in touch if you're passing through my area.

Fair winds to all!

Eric.

B&C internship, July 11-14, 2019 (copy)

First of all, thank you for this adventure which represents for me a beautiful initiatory path that has enriched me greatly (I look at all the bottles of water as gifts from heaven).

On another note, do you have any more photos from this weekend? I know Quentin took some too; could I have his number so he can send them to me? (Or give him mine: 0676341409)

I wish you a lovely day and hope to see you one of these summer Wednesday evenings on the Marco Polo.

See you soon

Hello, returning to civilization and comfort was very pleasant. After two good nights' sleep to recover, we feel like new! This experience was very educational about ourselves and nature. After pushing myself to the limit, I feel capable of moving mountains. There's still a lingering smell of smoke despite several frequent showers, as if the experience is ingrained in our skin. Thank you to Denis and the whole team, and thank you to the rabbit for kindly coming to sit in the snare ;-) (thanks Nadia^^).

Could you send me all the photos from the internship so I can show them to my family and friends?

We look forward to your visit to Meschers.

Benjamin

survival training group

Thank you for this wonderful experience. I will remember the advice, the techniques, but also the philosophy.

A truly wonderful encounter that I hope to repeat on another internship in France or abroad.

In the meantime, I will perfect the techniques and, above all, pass them on to my children.

So thank you both again for this great time.

And I'll see you next time.

Laurent

survival training group

Good morning,

I hope everyone got home safely?

I wanted to thank everyone for this moment we shared. For me, this moment allowed me to realize what I've wanted to do for a long time, so thank you all again.

And Denis, I especially wanted to thank you for guiding us, for being there for each of us, for who you are, for what you do. I admire your work and your family model. Thank you for everything.

Kevin

survival training group

Thank you again for this shared adventure. It will remain one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
I sincerely hope to meet some of you in Nantes or your regions.

Hugs and kisses to all

I want to say a big thank you to Denis Tribaudeau for this survival course!!!
Nature provides us with everything we need to survive, let's thank it!
Larvae, insects, wild fruits and vegetables etc. ... pure and simple protein.
Hey, thanks for teaching us, with nothing but a penis and a knife, how to make fire, drinking water, traps, etc....
If you want to do a really good internship about nature and what it has to offer, contact Denis, you won't be disappointed!!!!
Hey, see you very soon for the cold weather training course this winter.

Franck

survival training group

I had a blast! The content of the workshop resonates with me for a long time. I wasn't very comfortable during the workshop, but the knowledge Arnaud shared with us makes me want to go back. I've already watched the "Bite and Knife" program ;)

He's a fantastic instructor; it doesn't feel like school at all, yet you learn a tremendous amount. Thank you, see you soon.

Jonathan

survival training group

Thank you for the photo and the certificate and especially for this moment spent in your company and that of nature which knew how to be generous.

With pleasure, take care. I wish you many more enjoyable internships and trips filled with wonderful encounters and surprises.

This internship was short but it still lingers in my thoughts like a journey of several weeks or months.

Sincerely.

Janfi

survival training group

A huge thank you to everyone for this weekend that will remain etched in our memories for a long time! A warm welcome, a highly dedicated and generous Master worthy of Mike Horn, and incredibly friendly and funny companions... In these conditions, survival is real life! ;-)

Hugs to all and good luck surviving!!!

Survival course B&C Périgord, September 9-12, 2021

I was expecting a very "functional" internship, where techniques would be explained to us without us having to experiment through tests and failures. A bit like a "military" approach, as you said.

In an individualistic approach, where I just wanted to acquire knowledge, I was surprised to find myself in a survival course with a collective dimension, where we had to consult with each other to choose the shelter to make, to organize our daily life.

In the end, in addition to learning and practicing a wide range of survival techniques, I left with the feeling of having had a powerful human experience. Beyond survival, which shouldn't be a concern at all if we're resourceful, I was able to learn about myself through the group, to learn from others, to push my limits while remaining connected to other people.

While survival may no longer be a daily concern for us, group living certainly is. And that's why I'm glad I participated in this course. It rekindled the adventurer's spirit in me, and I think it rekindled it in others as well.

Thank you for allowing us this experience which will undoubtedly remain etched in our memories forever!

Survival course B&C Périgord, September 9-12, 2021

I am completely satisfied with all the points in the questionnaire!

Furthermore, I would like to reflect on my experience this weekend. I found this weekend very enriching, both because of what we learned about survival, and also because of the diversity of the group members, which I think helps even more to feel out of place and to enjoy this completely new experience.

This training course was a success for me from beginning to end; I learned many new things about survival, a subject that has long fascinated me, and I learned first aid techniques, which I even plan to further develop by taking my PSC1 (First Aid Certificate). The activities within this group allowed me to feel truly comfortable and integrated, which contributed to the overall success of my stay.

THANKS !

Quentin

Survival course B&C Périgord, September 9-12, 2021

It is with immense pleasure that I share my impressions following this wonderful adventure we have just experienced. Beyond the intensity and solidarity that such an event can generate among the participants, I truly wish to thank YOHANN, who was so pedagogical, humorous, and a good listener; his participation made this adventure even more beautiful.

I came to push my limits and find out what I could have deep inside in a situation where I find myself without eating, sleeping and drinking only the minimum and I found much more than I expected, at 42 it is great to rediscover yourself.

Thank you again so much.

Survival course b_c July 7-10, 2022

I would like to thank you again for this internship! It was a rich experience in terms of acquiring knowledge and skills through practical application. The internship met my expectations.

Denis, thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. I appreciated this connection with nature. The workshop was comprehensive in its content. But I also want to emphasize the genuine and authentic human exchange. Your passion for what you do shines through. You taught us many things with such humility; we were truly engaged in a multidirectional exchange, not just a transfer of knowledge. You put people at ease, you are a great listener, and you are always eager to learn. I really appreciated that. I think your way of guiding us through this workshop greatly contributed to the strong group cohesion.

Thank you also Nadia, for your kindness, the friendly welcome and the organization.

Thank you also to your daughter. The family atmosphere enhances the authenticity and friendliness.

In short, besides my very positive feedback on the internship: Congratulations on managing to make a living from your passion, while keeping your authentic side and values.

You can be proud of what you have built.

I'm not worried about you, but I wish you all the best.

Antoine.

survival training for trainees

With this email, I would like to thank you all for this internship, for this unique opportunity. I learned a great deal during it.

These four days and I will cherish all the wonderful stories we shared. The walks to our famous pond, the construction

from our four-star cabin, refined jokes around the fire, and much more!
Thank you very much and perhaps see you next time!

Manu

to make a fire without a lighter

When they gave me this birthday present, my first thought was a ploy by my family and girlfriend to get rid of me, leaving me to die of hunger and thirst in the depths of the Périgord countryside. But in the end, I had an extraordinary experience. First, the group: cheerful companions from all walks of life, of all ages, with diverse goals. Lots of laughs, hardships, comfort, and shared experiences... The word is out: sharing is the key to this adventure. Sharing not only Denis's know-how but also his way of being. He's a bit like our French Mike Horn (whom he imitates remarkably well, by the way). His stories took us on a journey throughout the entire course. Through his successes and misadventures, he shared a wealth of techniques and tips that we proudly recount to our friends as soon as we get home. Drawn to this "adventurer" side of things since I was a child, I had a blast. Stepping into the shoes of a Robinson Crusoe in the depths of the Périgord Noir, battling hunger (and we even managed to stuff ourselves with blackberries and grasshoppers!) and thirst, was a small personal challenge that I'm proud to have met. Beyond this minor feat, it's the realization that I think leaves the biggest impression, especially on me. Our modern lifestyle makes us lose sight of how incredibly fortunate we are to have access to drinking water and food in almost monstrous quantities, right outside our doors. During this course, you quickly realize that you have to earn your way to food and water! And that really puts things into perspective! Leaving there, you end up with a broader view. Before complaining because the tap water tastes like bleach, or because the noodles aren't cooked enough, you reflect and think back on this adventure of a few days. You also think about those who live these survival situations throughout their lives, sometimes on the other side of the world! We are so lucky! I recommend this course to anyone who thirsts for adventure and wants to disconnect from the madness of the 21st century! Thank you, Denis, for this amazing adventure! I had a blast, I learned so much about these always useful techniques, and about myself! I can't wait for the next course! (And thank you to Nadia too for this feedback on the course that made our taste buds sing!)

I had a time I'll remember for a long time! I wasn't expecting so much... or rather, so little of everything! But that's what made the adventure so exciting!
Thank you for the wellspring of knowledge that you are.
A wonderful encounter!

Thank you all for this trip, your sense of adventure/humor (follow my gaze...)/orientation and your good humor in this ordeal!

And thank you Denis for everything you've taught us: the condom joke is definitely having a moment in the conversation ;-). We'll do it again whenever you want (but with marshmallows :-p )!

Good luck and see you next time!
