General information
This course is the result of a collaboration between Denis Tribaudeau's team and SOLOGNAC WILD (Decathlon's outdoor activity product line). With a strong focus on nature and the great outdoors, we designed this experience as a complete "nature" escape, enhanced by carefully selected equipment. Since bushcraft is a planned activity, unlike a survival situation, you will have your own equipment and supplies. To help you return to a simpler life in the wilderness, we will teach you all the construction techniques for building your camp . You will build your own furniture, carve your own tools, and set up your camera traps, not to mention smoking meat and our short wild cooking classes. In short, an intense and magical experience in the heart of the wild.
THIS IS A TRIBAUDEAU/SOLOGNAC WILD EXCLUSIVE
Location of the internship: Landes forest (Campet near Montmarsan) or Périgord forest (Mauzac in Dordogne)
DAY 1
9:30 am: The meeting is set at the Murat estate where we will lend you the equipment developed by the SOLOGNAC WILD/ DECATHLON team.
10am: Start of the hike and immersion in nature - Gathering - Observation of the environment, fauna, flora, topography - Scouting - Searching for water...
11:30 am: Arrival at the bivouac site - Choosing a suitable location to set up camp. Learning the basic principles of assembly and construction techniques. Learning how to build a cooking fire. Introduction to techniques for creating a flame without a lighter or matches and raising awareness of fire risks. Review of current regulations and, if permitted, we will have a small campfire. Preparation and construction of shelters using tarps or Solognac groundsheets, wood, and ferns - Preparation of a smokehouse - Construction of various furniture items. Practical exercises and task allocation. (Workshops may be adapted according to your requests, the weather, etc.)
8:00 PM: Dinner, consisting of the day's foraged ingredients and what you brought with you (vegetables, meats, etc.), making "scout" bread and baking it on site. Night hike and setting up camera traps on the scree slopes you have identified.
11:00 PM: Sleeping in the shelters.
DAY 2
7:00 a.m.: Wake-up - Checking of camera traps.
Breakfast - Nighttime impressions - Knife sharpening and meat smoking workshop. First aid awareness - Carrying the injured (making stretchers). Orienteering workshop with and without a map and compass. (Workshops can be adapted according to your requests, the weather, etc.)
2:00 PM: Departure - Dismantling shelters - Cleaning the bivouac area - Environmental awareness - Orienteering - Map reading - Sun orientation, topography, compass
4:30 PM: Return to the starting point - Review of the past two days - Taking feedback into account - Further discussion of certain points and feedback on the product experience - Viewing of the camera traps - Complimentary light brunch
5:30pm: Departure and end of the internship.
This internship is open to anyone aged 14 or older.
This internship is supervised by Denis Tribaudeau and/or a member of his team.

Since nature is our daily environment and our tool of the trade, we are the first to want to protect and preserve it. During our sessions, we will be vigilant in ensuring that our trainees also safeguard nature. We will regularly review the rules and regulations to explain, inform, and educate them on the importance of respecting these rules.

Hello Nadia and Denis, I wanted to give you some feedback on the survival course my son Tanguy took. You should know that my son is very stingy with compliments...
