Experience the wild adventure
You will be immersed in the heart of Béarn, in a low mountain valley encompassing hundreds of hectares of ancient, mystical, and isolated forest. Survival here means finding drinking water, building shelter, and foraging for food, but it also means becoming one with the elements. A true experience of returning to the very essence of being, you will learn essential wilderness survival techniques and be initiated into shamanic practices.
We will use and honor the four elements in these two dimensions:
The Earth: The one that will allow us to build our shelters and the one that will nourish us. But also the one that can bring down a tree or slide and bury us if we choose our campsite poorly. We will honor the earth and thank it for its mercy, its generosity, and its love.
Water: So precious. The source of all life on Earth. It quenches our thirst but can kill us in a few hours if we drink unsafe water. We will learn to collect, filter, and purify it without equipment and with respect. We will honor it and become aware of its preciousness, its richness, its power.
Fire: The fire that purifies, warms, illuminates, cooks, reassures, and stretches the drumheads so they resonate loudly and clearly. We will learn to make fire with "nothing" and also with "little." We will learn to call upon its spirit and honor it so that it serves us and does not destroy us. We will see how and why it is central to survival practices as well as to shamanic rituals.
Air: So obvious that we forget it. Three minutes without breathing and we die. It is also the element of communication. Essential both for communication within and outside a group in a survival situation, as well as for our communication with the spirits of the forest. The Wind helps us by fanning the fire or bringing us the scents of mushrooms, flowers, and edible fruits, and the musky scents of animals. But it can also bring cold and rain, and can blow away our shelter in seconds if we are not careful.
The Totem Animal: The night and the full moon will also allow us to go and meet, for those who wish to do so, our Totem Animal.

Your instructor: Jérôme was trained in survival skills and techniques by Denis Tribaudeau's team. In addition, he is a down-to-earth business owner with a unique distinction: he is a highly initiated practitioner of shamanism and offers to immerse you in his world.

Testimonials from the "Survival & Shamanism Initiation " workshop

Thank you Denis & Nadia for this exceptional and very enriching internship.
Your internship should be covered by health insurance, it's so incredibly informative!! 😉
Thank you again for your welcome, kindness and teaching skills, you are the best.
Damien

A great team with whom it was a pleasure to share all these moments, except for the nights =)
Seriously guys, I went outside to get some peace and quiet; I didn't think we'd end up ten of us chatting around the fire all night! =) Thanks to you, Nadia and Denis. It was too short for me; I had so many questions and experiences I wanted to have. Who knows, maybe one day I'll have the chance to hunt with the Hanzabés.
Stéphane, frog fisherman =)

After seeing the pictures of the rabbit and frog huts and listening to my weekend story, my 10-year-old daughter absolutely wants to do the camp 🤨. She tells me we were "so lucky"... I think I'll make her wait a little while before signing her up 😄

The comedown is really tough; I haven't wanted to return to the real world for two days now... I can't stop thinking about this amazing, supportive team, and you all really helped me reach the end of this unforgettable adventure... Thank you all so much... I'll practice making a fire on bamboo this weekend and hope to participate in another adventure like this next year with Denis and Nadia... Thank you again... I'll never forget you and hope to see you again someday... maybe for another adventure...
Lucas

Great shared memory! I didn't take photos but images on my bike: the shouts of joy when the flame came out of Adrien's hands, the rabbit that awakened our instincts and the shelter that protected us well from the rain.
My return trip by bike to Brive was great, tiring but pushing yourself has its advantages and that's also part of this experience.
Best of luck to you, and if you happen to be passing through Caen and my house is too small, we'll build a cabin together!!
P.S. I arrived at a hostel in Paris very late (3 a.m. because of a train problem) and I can tell you that all of us together snored less than José, my roommate!!
Thanks again to everyone and especially to Nadia and Denis for this welcome and this humanism which reminds us what it means to be men (and women of course: #TITOUNE or the sissy).
