General route
For over 6 days you will discover the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. At an altitude of over 2000m you will discover magnificent valleys where time seems to stand still.
Far from the beaten track, in a breathtaking and exotic setting, you will be introduced to survival techniques and will sleep in a bivouac for 4 nights, under ancient shelters and caves. In short... a superb adventure.

ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival in Marrakech. Welcome before 8 pm (dinner not included). Overnight stay in a riad or hotel in the heart of the medina.
Day 2:
Transfer to the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. You will travel through breathtaking scenery worthy of the greatest films! From the snows of Mount Toubkal to mountain passes at over 2,000 meters altitude. In the evening, you will be welcomed in a small village where you will have genuine encounters, far from the tourist trails, in authentic surroundings.
Day 3:
Start of the trek. A challenging hike to reach a stunning, windswept high plateau. Your goal for the day will be to find a stream and its source to fill your water bottle and gather wild fruits.
Sheltered beneath your rocky promontory, you'll learn how to set traps and purify collected water, bake bread, and cook it in embers… with our resident mountain guide!
Day 4:
Descent to another source of drinking water where you'll put the techniques and knowledge from the previous day into practice. The day will be spent setting traps, collecting wood, gathering wild fruits… in a setting worthy of the best adventure films.
Day 5:
Hiking among the rocks in a holm oak forest at over 2,500 meters altitude is not an everyday occurrence! Yet that's exactly what you'll do, covering more than 12 km. The arrival at the bivouac will be punctuated by discoveries and surprises: waterfalls, squirrels, a dizzying descent, a natural shower, and a breathtaking panorama guaranteed!
Day 6:
Begin your descent towards a remote Berber village. You'll almost certainly be invited to have tea with the locals, who are curious and proud to have guests. The valley will seem rich and welcoming with its river, fruit trees, frogs, and more. The last bivouac is likely to be a convivial and simple affair.
Day 7:
Meet in the neighboring village with your vehicle! Return to "civilization" amidst fabulous scenery. Arrive in Marrakech where a superb evening in a riad awaits you. Relaxation, luxury, and indulgence, a hot shower, and an oriental meal are on the menu. (Dinner not included).
Day 8:
Transfer to the airport.
Meals not included.

Yoann and Mouss were fantastic guides and I learned so much from them! A huge thank you again. Especially to Mouss... what strength of character!
For me, it was also the discovery of Morocco and Berber culture, which makes it really hard for me to get back on track with "normal life".
Since I regularly go out alone in the (high) mountains, I would really like to continue my survival training. Yoann told me that the "academy" course would be good for further development.
Perhaps we will meet one day for this training?!

What a sight! Magnificent and peaceful. Just a two-hour flight from home, it was a complete change of scenery! Thank you, Denis, for your recommendation. You were spot on. Mouss was also perfect and taught us all about the wonders of these mountains. I had never been to North Africa before, and I won't forget it anytime soon. The people in the villages we passed through were so kind and smiling—what wonderful memories!

We were lucky to be a fantastic, close-knit, and above all, very complementary team; this week was incredibly enriching on a personal level. Personally, I laughed a lot, which I didn't think was possible, given the theme :)
Yoann and Mus were excellent guides and taught us a great deal, just as Mike Horn would have. We came away enriched by this experience... We'd do it again.

Personally, I'll cherish the memories of this adventure because, beyond the survival course and discovering a new place, it was a true collective experience we shared last week. Together, you formed a united, efficient group, resilient to anything, even the blazing sun!
