Survival course in the heart of the

Angkor Jungle

Route and general information

For 13 days, you will be immersed in Khmer civilization. You will be at the heart of one of humanity's treasures. Just a stone's throw from the famous temples of Angkor, in the middle of a lush rainforest, you will learn all the basics of jungle survival: how to set up camp, build a fire without a lighter, and make your own furniture and tools from bamboo. You will also be introduced to the identification of local flora and fauna. Once the course is over, we offer you the opportunity to stay with a local family and be guided on foot and by tuk-tuk for the most magnificent and fabulous architectural encounter of your life!

Cambodia

TYPICAL ITINERARY (subject to change)

Day 1: "Go to Cambodia" Flight to Siem Reap, the closest city to the Angkor temples. Meals and overnight flight. The journey will take approximately 14 hours with one or two layovers.

Day 2: Recovery and Acclimatization - You will be met at the airport by our local representative and accommodated in a basic but comfortable guesthouse in the center of Siem. Meals and overnight stay included. Meals at your own expense (we will provide our favorite restaurants).

Day 3: Total Immersion - After a hearty breakfast, you will receive a briefing on the fundamentals of jungle survival from our specialist. After checking your gear, your guide will take you to the edge of a pristine forest untouched by tourists. You will walk among the many species of trees and plants, learning to identify them for food and medicinal purposes. Survival will be organized around your first campsite. You will build a fire using traditional local methods, experiencing perfect harmony in the heart of a lush and unspoiled jungle.

Day 4:  “Total Immersion Continued”

Wake up and prepare breakfast, briefing on the day's activities and jungle survival principles. Check traps and track animal footprints, distill water to make it potable, forage for food, etc. Learn various hunting and trapping techniques. Set up your new bivouac at a new location. The evening will be spent around the campfire with a short debriefing of the day's highlights.

Day 5:  “Total Immersion Continued”

Continuation of the survival course. You will now be (almost) self-sufficient and in charge. Dismantling your camp, identifying animal trails, trapping, foraging, capturing game, and wild cooking will no longer hold any secrets for you! Your machete will be your best friend! You will make your final trek to reach your last campsite. Along the way, you will gather and bring back everything that can be prepared for dinner that evening.

Day 6: Total immersion... the end!

The time has come to rejoin "civilization" and return to your extraction site. Just one more bivouac and it will be liberation! The day will be spent performing familiar tasks and routines. The last evening around the campfire will be for reflection and nostalgia. Overnight in a bivouac.

Day 7: Liberation!

You will leave the jungle and return to civilization. Your minibus will pick you up and take you straight to a good meal, Wi-Fi, a bed, a swimming pool, and a hot shower... pure luxury! Free afternoon. Overnight in Siem Reap in a comfortable small hotel.

Day 8: The reward in Siem Reap. You will take a tuk-tuk (traditional taxi) to explore the temples of the gigantic city of Angkor. This will be a true VIP expedition organized by your guide, a specialist in the region and a true enthusiast. of Khmer culture. As impressive as the Forbidden City in China, the temple of Angkor Wat will reveal all its secrets. The Hindu temple of Banteay Samré and many other monuments will amaze you with their grandeur and architectural finesse. You will walk along the Baray seawall and arrive at the royal basin of Srah Sprang. Return to Siem Reap. Dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap at the same hotel.

Breakfast and lunch included, dinner at your leisure.

Day 9: The reward continues - Siem Reap - Angkor Thom. Discovery ride by mountain bike among the temples! Angkor Thom is famous for its ancient stone walls, a true royal city amidst lush and wild vegetation, with its four gigantic faces worthy of an Indiana Jones film, reaching a height of 45 meters. Then you will visit the temple of Ta Prohm, overgrown with giant ficus trees as if they jealously guard this stone treasure. At the end of the day You will be able to stroll along Preah Khan, lined with stone giants. Overnight in Siem Reap at the same hotel. Breakfast and lunch included, dinner at your leisure.

Day 10: Siem Reap - Roluos.

This rustic and authentic village is full of charm.

Located around a pond, the inhabitants cultivate mint and live peacefully from their agricultural work. Dinner, overnight stay, and breakfast at a local's home.

I've been back for a month and I can't stop thinking about it! It was the trip of a lifetime, a survival experience where I learned so much from top experts, but also visiting the temples of Angkor on a Tic Tac and living against the flow of tourists, with excellent guides—it was simply magical and fabulous. I'll definitely do another trip like that! Thank you, thank you, and thank you again.

It was truly a dream come true! I felt like I was in an Indiana Jones movie. What an adventure, my friends... I never thought I'd experience something like this! Cambodia is a beautiful country that everyone should visit now, and seeing its nature and resources while camping in the jungle is simply the perfect way to realize how lucky we are. A huge thank you for everything you do and for the experiences you've given us.

It was perfect! My husband came back thrilled with his survival experience! He hasn't stopped talking about it and absolutely wants to go back with you! He's clearly caught the adventure and discovery bug. Goodbye holiday clubs and artificial resorts, hello to authenticity and the true values of happiness!
